WELCOME TO INDEPENDENT PHOTOGRAPHY!
A blog is a web site where entries are written in chronological order and commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. Blogs typically include commentary or analysis, and may also include photographs, videos, and links to other web sites. Entries (sometimes called posts) are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page. Earlier posts appear below, in descending order. Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting) or a combination of these. Blogging is a form of self-publishing. Creating and maintaining a blog requires little initial cost and many free services are available. The expense comes when an individual wants more control over how the blog looks and functions, such as with a custom domain name or design template. Bloggers can also make money from their blog through a variety of methods, including affiliate marketing, paid advertisements, merchandise sales, and membership fees.
A blog is a platform where one can share their thoughts and ideas with the world. It is a way of communication. It is a way to share your photos and videos with the world. It is a way to share your life with the world.
A blog can be about anything. It can be about your life, your day, your thoughts, your feelings, your cat, your dog, your work, your hobby, anything!
If you want to start a blog, there are many different ways to do it. You can start a blog for free using one of the many online platforms such as WordPress or Blogger. Or you can start a blog by purchasing your own domain name and hosting service such as Squarespace or Weebly.
No matter what method you choose, starting a blog is easy and only takes a few minutes. Once you have created your blog, you can start writing entries (also called posts) and publishing them for the world to see!
